Lukáš Cinkanič

Lukáš Cinkanič (*1996) graduated from the Academy of Fine Arts in Prague in the studio of David Böhm, Dalibor Smutný, and Josef Bolfa. He completed an internship at the Academy of Fine Arts in Warsaw. He most often focuses on painting on canvas in combination with screen printing graphic technology. He explores the creative environment as an artistic medium, so his artistic expression is not only transferred to canvas, but also expands into public space. "Through the medium of painting, I renew and at the same time convey my memories. I create portals that bring my travel experiences closer to the viewer. The journey becomes a creative environment, where I create work records and large-format paintings on the walls of abandoned houses in the industrial landscape. Wandering through the landscape and its specifics confronts other places where I create."
