Renata Machyčková

Renata Machýčková graduated from the Academy of Fine Arts in Prague in 2013, where she studied in the painting studio of Vladimír Skrepl and Jiří Kovanda. He has completed internships in the studio of Václav Stratil at FaVU in Brno and at Middlesex University in London. In addition to painting, he also uses specific art techniques, whether it is working with wax or cutting sheets of paper with a scalpel, resulting in a result not unlike lace.

Recently, she has been focusing mainly on painting, and unlike the concentrated work on paper that forms a substantial part of her work, for her painting represents a direct, even uncontrollable, contact with the content. It deals with the question of femininity from its inner essence; thanks to this, a completely new figure of a woman comes to life, projecting into herself fragments of the past and visions, which this drawing-like, almost sketch-like painting allows her to do.
